Diamonds as Camouflage?

Camouflage and diamonds exist to do opposite jobs: one disappears, the other demands attention. The Double Dazzle puts both on the same dial anyway. Roughly 350 natural diamonds are pavé-set into the same fractured geometric pattern used on the standard Dazzle, so the thing meant to disrupt perception is now also the thing catching every bit of light in the room. Phil Toledano called it anarchy, and that’s about right: the idea doesn’t resolve cleanly, it just works, stubbornly, in person. Only 12 are being made.
