Not many people know this – largely because we promised each other we would keep it a secret for five years – but the first watch we ever worked on was for the Facebook employee watch club.
In 2017, we had the opportunity to create a custom Tudor Black Bay. It was the first time we worked on a project like this, and in truth, it started us off down the path that would eventually lead to the creation of Collective.
Although only 70 examples were produced for Facebook employees, somehow one ended up in John Mayer's personal collection. He shared the watch during an episode of HODINKEE's Talking Watches (with Ed Sheeran), and now the secret of this very special watch is out.
