Smallest Ressence Yet, and a First

Every other Ressence reads the minutes off the dial itself. The Type 9 moves that scale onto a fixed bezel instead, the first time the brand has done it, which clears the dial down to hours alone on a rotating satellite. It’s a smaller change than it sounds: the hour display still uses the same ROCS module that defines every Ressence, just with one less thing competing for your eye. That’s also how this became the smallest and least expensive watch Ressence makes.

• Crown: none; winding and time-setting are done by rotating the case back
• Bezel: fixed, brushed, with a 5-minute scale, the first time Ressence has moved the minute track off the dial
• Dial: matt Aqua Blue Grade 5 titanium convex dial, 75mm radius, hour indication on eccentric satellites riding jewel ball bearings inclined at 9.75°, engraved indications filled with Blue Grade A Super-LumiNova
